Quick reference

C8H8N2O2 shared an October 2025 melee bag and credited early Katana luck plus an Apple Pie and experience snowball. The account does not establish a current guaranteed build or clear timing.

Acquisition
The author explicitly credits lucky early Katana drops.

What the post actually establishes

C8H8N2O2’s “First good melee build” post presents a backpack after a boss and says the author chose not to continue Endless. A reader asks how so many high-rarity items arrived before Endless. In reply, the author credits early Katanas, Apple Pie killing distant enemies and many chests after collecting experience with a Vacuum.

The reply also refers to the level after the first boss. That timing is not a clean day-by-day acquisition record. Keep the event as an exceptional player account rather than promising the same inventory before a particular boss.

The snowball needs several conditions

Early Katanas supplied useful attacks; sustained kills supplied experience; a Vacuum collected dropped pickups; additional levels supplied more airdrop opportunities. If one stage is weak, the later pile of rewards does not follow automatically. A Vacuum gathers existing drops; it cannot create the kills or safety needed to collect them.

Condition in the accountWhat the reader can act on
Lucky early KatanasKeep useful melee copies when they fit the current run
Damage reaching distant enemiesPreserve coverage while moving toward loot
Experience left on the mapUse pickup opportunities without abandoning a safe exit
Many later rewardsUpgrade the working setup rather than assuming every future drop

How to use the case today

Version 1.0 increases Katana damage across rarities. That supports revisiting the weapon; it does not establish the same Apple Pie numbers or an old inventory’s exact balance. Melee still has to survive charges, projectiles and the approach to a target.

For Yontoryu, retain four separate Katana copies and provide active hands. That goal can conflict with merging duplicates for stronger individual attacks. Decide whether the run is collecting the simultaneous count or improving one weapon before consuming the copies.

This case belongs among unusual runs because the author identifies favorable acquisition luck. Use the weapon comparison for a fallback when those drops do not arrive, and keep the fuel route usable while collecting experience.
