Crafting & merging

Merging improves an existing item. Crafting makes a different one. Before using either, check what you will lose from your current loadout.

Craftable equipment

Crossbow, Flamethrower, Grinder, Desert Eagle, Mega Shotgun and Plasma Hand can be crafted. Plasma Hand adds equipping hands for additional weapons; the weapons still need backpack space and support.

Where to find recipes

The workbench sorts recipes by availability and shows ingredient quantities and rarity. Read the output tooltip before committing, especially when a recipe consumes a weapon or support you are using.

Merge or craft?

Merge two copies of the same item at the same rarity to raise its rarity. Crafting creates a different output. Before either action, identify the support links and equipped weapons that depend on each ingredient. Keeping a functioning weapon can be worth more than completing an unsupported craft.

Before you craft

  1. Confirm the recipe and output tooltip in your current version.
  2. Check hand requirements and the output's placement.
  3. Identify which support items will affect it.
  4. Protect your only reliable damage source until the replacement can function.
