Comparison
Pellet coverage and reload downtime both affect its usefulness.

Strengths

  • Many pellets give each shot substantial coverage.
  • Its crafted attack offers an alternative when your current gun no longer clears approaching enemies.

Weaknesses

  • Reload downtime still leaves a gap between magazines.
  • A projectile support is useful only if its rules accept this weapon and the effect you want.

When to pick it

Pellet coverage addresses your current crowd problem and the finished gun has room for support.

When to skip it

The craft would replace a supported gun with a weapon you cannot equip or keep firing safely.

Priorities

  1. Check range and spread against the enemies you need to stop.
  2. Compare a complete attack-and-reload cycle with your current supported gun.
  3. Leave room for the finished craft before merging.

Builds and combinations

Mega Shotgun is a crafted weapon added in 1.0, with high damage and many pellets.

Coverage depends on what the pellets actually hit. Before replacing a supported gun, compare range, magazine and reload behavior as well as the initial damage. Keep the existing weapon until the new one can fit with useful support.

Sheriff’s reload rewards can support this gun. Keep its reload connections active and leave room to retreat between magazines.

For projectile support, distinguish adding projectiles from modifying existing pellets or affecting another weapon category. The receiver rule matters more than a similar-looking attack.
