Item overview
Hammer upgrades marked items at the end of the day, up to its own rarity. It rewards placing useful lower-rarity items under its marks before the day ends.
- Timing
- Upgrades happen at the end of the day.
- Recipients
- Marked items.
- Cap
- Hammer cannot upgrade an item beyond Hammer’s own rarity.
Strengths
- Can improve useful items without replacing them.
- Remaining days offer more chances to benefit from its upgrade effect.
Weaknesses
- Items already at or above the rarity cap cannot benefit.
- Making room for upgrades can weaken the setup you need to finish the current day.
When to pick it
Several useful items are below Hammer’s rarity and days remain to upgrade them.
When to skip it
Your useful recipients have reached its cap or you need immediate combat support to survive.
Priorities
- Mark useful items below Hammer’s rarity.
- Arrange recipients before the day transition.
- Keep enough combat support equipped to survive until the upgrade happens.
Builds and combinations
Hammer upgrades marked items when the day ends. It cannot raise them above its own rarity.
An item already at or above the Hammer’s rarity gains no overnight upgrade. Use its marks for equipment that can still improve, then check the arrangement before the day-end transition.
Preserve the weapon and support connections you need to finish the map. Moving equipment into Hammer’s marks is less useful if the new placement disables the attack keeping you alive.
Hammer is more attractive with several useful recipients and days left to upgrade them. Near the end of a run, or when important gear is already above its cap, immediate combat support may do more with the slot.
