What to do

  1. Choose the next facility around a specific run or unlock objective.
  2. Unlock workbench access before reserving space for a recipe you cannot use.
  3. Buy a repeater for an identified support connection, not as a substitute for finding the support itself.
  4. Review banished items when changing characters or crafting goals.

Useful equipment and guides

Workbench and early unlocks

A planned craft needs Item Workbench first. Chicken’s achievement also involves crafting different legendary items, so that facility can serve both a weapon goal and a character unlock.

Choose the next purchase around the run you want to attempt. If loot is scarce, examine looting and airdrop unlocks. If extraction keeps failing, change the return route before investing everything in a complicated damage setup.

Radar and repeaters

Jolly recommends radar and wireless repeater progression when available. Radar serves the looting plan; a repeater is useful when you already know which support effect needs transferring. Buying it does not supply a worthwhile effect by itself.

Item banishing

Version 1.0 expands banish capacity. Excluding an item narrows the loot pool, but can also remove a recipe ingredient or a useful fallback. Reconsider exclusions when changing characters or pursuing another build.

Remove equipment you consistently replace or a mechanic you deliberately don’t intend to use. Keep alternatives while learning a new character rather than narrowing the run before seeing its problems.

Use the base unlock preview for item-pack prices and prerequisites before choosing the next purchase.

Apples, duct tape and item packs

Apples buy repeatable stat upgrades at the bookshelf. Duct tape buys one-time facilities and item packs at the workbench. A pack adds its equipment to future finds; purchasing it does not put those items straight into the current backpack.

Unlock Item Workbench for recipes, Toy Box for Rubber Ball, and More Rarities when matching epic items can no longer merge. The Costume Shop is a route encounter unlocked at the workbench. It sells other characters’ signature items. Character selection itself is at the campfire.

MKing response level

The bomb symbols at base show MKing response level, the campaign’s difficulty progression. This differs from the threat that rises while you stay out at night. In 1.0, losing or abandoning a run before its first boss win lowers response level by one.

Higher response levels increase starting threat and rewards. Check the response level before comparing a new character with an older successful run. The Weekly Challenge always uses response level 5.

Banish capacity increases through 3, 6 and 12 slots. Check the active exclusions when a needed ingredient never appears; an unlock cannot put a banished item back into your finds.

Reset character-item sticker choices at the campfire when changing how a signature item works. Inspect the new effect before rebuilding its supports.

If Costume Shop is locked behind Multiple Personalities, equip two character items in the same backpack. Start with a character who already has a signature item and keep it while obtaining the second. Check Character unlocks for the Fresh Pumpkin route.
