Item overview

Treasure Chest has changed since launch: the exponential economy was reworked in 0.15.1, and 1.0 reduces its critical multiplier and interest.

  • Deadly Days: Roadtrip
Historical change
Patch 0.15.1 removed the broken exponential scaling.
1.0 change
Critical multiplier and interest were reduced.

Check the current Treasure Chest tooltip before holding scrap for a supposed interest engine. The original launch-era exponential scaling was removed in patch 0.15.1; a later player repeating that old claim is not confirmation that it returned.

Version 1.0 applies another reduction to the critical multiplier and interest. Those notes do not provide a complete current rarity table. Choose the current item against the immediate weapon upgrade or repair that the same resources would buy.

A Chest can occupy combat space while providing delayed value. If another map is already unsafe, waiting for economy to compound does not restore an active attack. The Endless Sheriff study separates the impressive old inventory from present-day rules; the critical-tier guide explains the current damage framework.
