Durandian’s Endless Sheriff: support before the record claim

Durandian’s historical endless run

Quick reference

Durandian’s October 9, 2025 recording shows an advanced Early Access 0.16.3 Sheriff inventory. Its title proposes a record-breaking build; the creator says he has not spent the time to finish that record attempt.

11:20 — Reload-shot explanation

The creator discusses Sheriff Star and the weapon statistics that determine a complete firing cycle.

40:45 — Late projectile coverage

The day-14 fight shows broad projectile coverage. Single-hit numbers in the scene do not establish a round-average DPS.

41:30 — The record claim

The creator says he does not have time to continue indefinitely and invites viewers to pursue the leaderboard.

Late Endless inventory

The opening contains many upgraded supports, several Void items, Treasure Chests and overlapping weapon arrangements. This is the second part of an extended run, not an opening recipe. At around 2:20 the creator says the character is already above level 200.

The early inventory is also a preparation state. Durandian explicitly says he has pushed equipment together to retain storage space and has not yet finished the intended arrangement. Do not use the first frame as a claimed final optimized layout.

Reload shots are the character engine

At about 11:20, Durandian discusses Sheriff Star and its reload shots, then compares weapon damage, magazine size, attack speed and reload time. The useful decision is to evaluate the whole firing cycle rather than the damage line alone.

His late combat shows enormous projectile coverage while moving through the map. That confirms the recording contains an extensively developed attack package. It does not isolate which individual support contributes the most damage or establish a reproducible current DPS number.

For a smaller present-day setup, begin with the Sheriff reload build and firing-cycle comparison. Fit the receiver and reload support before copying an extra weapon from a late-game bag.

What changed by 1.0

Historical componentCurrent rule to apply
Several Voids rewarding unused space and handsVersion 1.0 reduces both bonuses
Treasure Chest critical and economy supportVersion 1.0 reduces its critical multiplier and interest
Sheriff reload-shot behaviorBonus shots no longer spend ammo in 1.0
Large critical numbersCurrent critical chance can produce tiers beyond 100%

The broader Treasure Chest history also matters: patch 0.15.1 already removed the original broken exponential scaling before this video was published. Do not describe the October 9 recording as proof that the launch exploit remained unchanged.

Leaderboard claim

At 41:30–42:10 and again near 43:40, the creator explains that he does not have time to keep going indefinitely and invites viewers to pursue the leaderboard. The recording therefore demonstrates a build proposal and gameplay, not a verified world-record finish.

Its 44-minute edited length is also not the game’s elapsed survival time. Use the visible map day, timer and result screen for their actual meanings. For Wood Chipper, inspect the round-average DPS rather than a large single number in this footage.
