Quick reference
Reassess old Void and Treasure Chest plans after their 1.0 reductions, and account for critical tiers above 100%. Preserve the damage and survival connections that are actually working before extending the run.
- Void
- 1.0 reduces its unused-hand and empty-backpack bonuses.
- Treasure Chest
- 1.0 reduces its critical multiplier and interest effects.
- Critical tiers
- Each complete extra 100% adds the critical-damage bonus again; the remainder can roll another tier.
- Luck
- Affects the leftover critical chance rather than every guaranteed full tier.
What to do
- Compare a nerfed item's current contribution with its actual replacement before dismantling a working setup.
- Recheck the main damage recipient and survival condition after every important merge.
- Consider critical chance beyond 100% alongside the weapon support it would displace.
- Keep the fuel objective and return path viable; another scaling item is useless if the bus becomes unreachable.

Version 1.0 reduces Void’s bonuses from unused hands and backpack spaces. It also reduces Treasure Chest’s critical multiplier and interest. An older recommendation to leave a large empty area or pursue an interest loop needs a fresh comparison with the current item.
Critical chance above 100%
The release adds higher critical tiers. Each complete extra 100% adds the critical-damage bonus again; the remaining chance can roll another tier. Luck affects that remainder.
Maintaining item connections
Before extending the run, identify the interaction supplying damage and the condition keeping you alive. After a merge or new item, check those connections first. If a single recipient fails, inspect it before rebuilding the whole bag.
Long-term scaling still depends on reaching the bus. Judge another detour against the fuel objective and the return route. For character unlocks, check mode requirements separately: community comments specifically warn against using Endless for Death’s encounter achievement.
Nighttime threat, the route’s starting threat and MKing response level are different influences on difficulty. Read the next mission card rather than assuming that the previous map’s final threat number becomes the next map’s starting value.
Use the normal eight-day journey for Death’s character unlock. Surviving an Endless Reaper encounter is a different goal, and a high Endless day count does not complete that unlock by itself.
