Update summary
The October 29 release adds Vampire, new crafted weapons and cross-backpack support. Revisit old critical caps, Void and Treasure Chest plans, and any Food-based setup marked by Secret Sauce before copying an Early Access inventory.
- New survivor
- Vampire starts with a growing melee bat swarm that can steal life.
- Shared selectors
- Co-op effects can reach the other backpack.
- Critical scaling
- Higher tiers now apply above 100%; Astronaut's armor-to-critical rule also changes.
- Combat fixes
- High-fire-rate guns are corrected for frame-rate-dependent firing, and merged projectiles retain full damage.
- Food and triggers
- Relevant character items count as Food; triggers count the matching character's events.
What to do
- Recheck Void and Treasure Chest before relying on an older empty-space or interest strategy.
- Reconsider old assumptions that critical chance should always stop at 100%.
- Inspect Special Banana and The Carver's Grin when an old Secret Sauce setup loses damage.
- Review both players' selector connections after changing a co-op inventory.
- Compare rapid-fire weapons again after the firing-rate correction, using the supports and space each needs.

Early Access saves carry forward, though the same inventory may behave differently after the balance changes.
New attacks and cross-backpack support
Vampire starts with a growing melee bat swarm that can steal life. Crossbow bolts lodge in enemies and repeat on-hit effects when triggered. Flamethrower leaves damaging fire.
Co-op selectors now reach into the other backpack. Recheck shared connections after a teammate changes equipment, especially when an effect depends on a marked-item count.
Critical scaling and economy changes
Critical chance can reach higher tiers above 100%. Void’s empty-space bonuses and Treasure Chest’s crit and interest effects are reduced. Astronaut’s armor-to-critical rule also changes.
The update fixes ranged firing rates depending on frame rate and restores full damage to merged projectiles.
Ammo, triggers and Food fixes
Sheriff Star reload bonus shots no longer consume ammo. Triggers count the matching character’s events, and marked-item conditions wait until the required count is met.
Food classification also changes. Secret Sauce can now deactivate marked character equipment such as Special Banana and The Carver’s Grin. If an old setup loses damage, inspect its marks before assuming the run is bugged.
