Version 1.0 counts Coffee, Special Banana, Fresh Pumpkin and The Carver’s Grin as Food. A useful poison position can switch off a movement benefit or a character’s main attack.
Choose the non-Food recipient you want to poison, then inspect every other marked cell. Move conflicting Food away if the new layout can retain its other support connections. If it cannot, keep the original setup rather than forcing Sauce into it.
After adding Sauce, check the affected character item before spending more scrap on weapons. Auto Equip, a merge or a bag change can place Food inside the disabling marks.
Poison needs an enemy to survive long enough to take its ticks. Against enemies already dying to the first shot, another poison source may contribute little to clearing speed. Compare that purchase with direct damage, reload coverage or movement instead. Secret Sauce’s fuel and departure benefits remain useful independently of poison.
