Weapon overview
AK-47 is a fast-firing ranged weapon unlocked through Army Footlocker. Its three-cell line can reach several supports, but each selector must cover an occupied weapon cell.
- Unlock
- Army Footlocker at the base workbench.
- Footprint
- 3 × 1 cells; rotate to fit the bag.
- Supports
- Bicycle Pump for damage, Yo-Yo for reload and Rubber Ball for bounce.
Strengths
- Frequent ranged hits can carry on-hit support.
- The narrow footprint can fit alongside support items.
Weaknesses
- Army Footlocker must be unlocked before it enters ordinary finds.
- Automatic fire still leaves an empty-magazine interval.
Priorities
- Unlock Army Footlocker before searching for the gun.
- Check damage and reload support on the equipped gun.
- Compare the output tooltip before consuming it in a craft.
Builds and combinations
AK-47 enters the loot pool after the Army Footlocker unlock at the base workbench. Its footprint is three cells in a line. Unlocking the pack makes the gun available to find; it does not grant a copy immediately.
Bicycle Pump increases damage and projectile size on marked weapons. Yo-Yo addresses reload time, while Rubber Ball makes eligible ranged shots bounce. These effects have separate selectors, so inspect the AK-47 after rotating the gun or its support.
AK-47 or Minigun?
Compare the complete firing cycle: the time spent shooting, the reload interval and movement while equipped. The Minigun recipe can consume guns already receiving support. Check the recipe’s rarity requirements and the output’s hand requirement before spending those ingredients.
The supported Minigun build explains the transition. For an earlier automatic weapon without the Army Footlocker prerequisite, see SMG.
