Weapon overview
Throwing Knife attacks toward a nearby enemy on its own timer and can also activate from an external trigger. This makes it a useful candidate for a trigger setup that still has a way to start attacking.
- Attack
- Throws straight toward a nearby enemy.
- Activation
- Its own timer and external triggers can activate it.
- Cogwheel limit
- Each marked triggerable activates once per chain.
Strengths
- Its own timer supplies an activation without a separate movement trigger.
- External triggers provide another way to fire it.
Weaknesses
- A straight projectile offers limited coverage against threats approaching from several sides.
- Supports for ordinary equipped weapons may not accept a throwable.
When to pick it
You need an attack with its own timer that also fits a trigger setup.
When to skip it
You need broad coverage immediately and cannot safely handle attacks from several directions.
Priorities
- Check throwable and triggerable eligibility on each support.
- Use Cogwheel marks to connect eligible recipients.
- Keep moving when enemies approach from outside the knife’s firing line.
Builds and combinations
Throwing Knife throws a knife in a straight line at a nearby enemy. It attacks on a timer and when triggered.
Its timer supplies an attack without a movement activator. An external trigger provides another activation under the item’s rules. Place it inside Cogwheel’s marks with another eligible triggerable to share activations; each recipient still acts only once per chain.
A straight projectile does not cover the character like a sweeping strike. Preserve movement when enemies approach from several sides, and check throwable eligibility before assigning a modifier meant for ordinary hand-equipped weapons.
