Character overview
Survivor is a straightforward first-run choice: start with Pistol, learn support marks, and keep improving the weapon already clearing enemies. There is no character-specific attack to wait for before the setup works.
Strengths
- Starts with a usable ranged weapon rather than an unfinished item combination.
- Can follow the weapons and support found during the run instead of requiring one rare drop.
- A simple starting setup makes broken support connections easier to spot.
Weaknesses
- Depends on weapon and support loot for its build direction.
- A gun-focused opening needs reload downtime covered by movement or another attack.
- Replacing the starting gun too early can leave the run waiting for missing craft ingredients.
Choose this character when
Choose Survivor when learning the bag, planning a first clear, or adapting to whichever weapon drops first.
Choose another character when
Choose another character when you specifically want a reload, minion, throwable or armor-based character mechanic.
Priorities
- Support the Pistol or other weapon currently clearing enemies.
- Add Knife as a close-range option when available and equippable.
- Keep the current weapon until a craft can be equipped with its support.
Builds and equipment
Survivor is available from the start. Pistol and open inventory space make this a straightforward character for learning support marks and extraction.
AurelianoNile recommends Pistol and Knife until better equipment arrives. Improve the weapon clearing enemies now before filling the bag with an unfinished craft. That opening can lead toward Katana or Minigun when the necessary equipment appears.
Survivor’s flexibility comes without the distinctive level-scaling attack described for Vampire or Death. The run depends more heavily on the weapons and supports you assemble.
A first victory unlocks Sheriff. Stay with Survivor while learning the bag, or try Sheriff when you want a reload-focused gun setup.
