Quick reference
Single-handedly requires a one-handed weapon to stay equipped throughout the run, with no weapon requiring more hands. Keep the current legal attack when considering every replacement.
- Required
- Maintain a one-handed weapon continuously.
- Forbidden
- Do not equip a weapon requiring more than one hand.
Preserve an equipped legal weapon
Survivor starts with Pistol. The goal requires a one-handed weapon continuously and excludes higher-hand weapons.
Keep a legal attack
Do not remove the only qualifying weapon during a rearrangement.
- Develop support
Improve a compatible one-handed attack while keeping it active.
Reject a prohibited swap
More total hand capacity does not make a high-hand weapon legal.
Judge every replacement against the restriction, including temporary crafts and swaps before the next map.
Use a Pistol opening
Survivor’s Pistol is a practical starting attack. Improve its support and rarity while retaining a legal equipped weapon. The objective does not demand one weak gun for the whole journey; it demands the continuous equipped condition and excludes weapons with higher hand requirements.
The dangerous transition is removing the only legal weapon while reorganizing the bag. Keep a legal one-handed attack equipped when changing the setup. If a merge, craft or swap would leave the condition uncertain, preserve another legal equipped copy rather than emptying the slot first.
Replace damage through support
Bicycle Pump improves eligible inflatable attacks; Battery adds a chance-based on-hit effect; Yo-Yo addresses reload downtime. Choose the one solving the current problem instead of spending hands on a larger gun. Those supports have separate receiver conditions and must actually reach the Pistol.
A second one-handed weapon is different from a two-handed weapon. The objective’s wording restricts each weapon’s requirement rather than saying the entire bag may contain only one weapon. Keep enough ordinary hand capacity for the weapons you choose, and avoid a supposedly temporary high-hand gun.
Crafts and hand reductions
Minigun, Katana and other high-hand candidates are poor replacements for this objective. Adding Plasma Hand raises capacity without rewriting the achievement rule. Do not build the route around equipping a prohibited weapon with more available hands.
Before using Item Workbench, check which equipped ingredient would be consumed and what the output requires. A stronger crafted item is irrelevant if the crafting step breaks the continuous-weapon condition. Keep the starter build as a source of low-dependency equipment choices, then remove any recommendation that conflicts with this challenge.
Finish the normal journey
Use the eight-day normal victory as the target. Death’s twelve-minute encounter and an extended Endless run introduce extra risks without satisfying the weapon restriction by themselves. Prepare the bus and leave a weak late map once fuel is ready; clearing every loot point is optional, while reaching the victory is mandatory.
