Item overview
Battery gives eligible marked attacks a chance to produce lightning that can jump to another enemy. Place it around an attack that is equipped and regularly hitting targets.
- Effect
- Chance for lightning on hits from eligible marked attacks.
- Spread
- Lightning may jump to another enemy.
- Eligibility
- Eligible marked weapons and throwables.
Strengths
- Adds an on-hit effect without replacing the marked attack.
- A lightning jump can reach another enemy beyond the initial hit.
Weaknesses
- It contributes no hits if the marked attack is inactive or out of range.
- Battery does not provide the separate activation a Crossbow repeat setup needs.
When to pick it
An eligible attack is already landing hits and Battery can mark it.
When to skip it
The attack you intend to support is not equipped, cannot reach targets, or sits outside the marks.
Priorities
- Mark the attack that is actually hitting enemies.
- Preserve the connection when upgrading or rotating the weapon.
- For Crossbow repeats, add a suitable trigger source as well.
Builds and combinations
Co-op Battery and Pistol buildPlace Battery’s marks over the partner’s equipped Pistol.Battery adds a chance of lightning when a marked weapon or throwable hits. That lightning can jump to another enemy.
Mark a weapon that is equipped and hitting enemies reliably. Battery adds an on-hit effect; it cannot fix an attack that is inactive, outside its selector or unable to reach a target.
This offers a different kind of coverage from extra shots or attack speed. The original attack still has to land.
Battery supplies the named on-hit effect in the Crossbow and Walking Shoes build. In co-op, its selector can instead reach a partner’s eligible weapon.
Bananaperson can use marked throwable support on Special Banana. Follow the Banana build for the attack setup, then check whether the added Battery still reaches its receiver. For a shared bag, the co-op Battery build shows the support-to-partner arrangement.
